LANCOME TEINT IDOLE ULTRA 24 - REVIEW
I've always been so faithful to drugstore make up but lately I've been dabbling else where and I have hit such an incredible gold mine!
Typically, there are a few products that I always stick to because I know works. i.e. my Aveeno face wash and body lotion. However, there are products I can't seem to finish or ever get rid off simply because I feel too guilty that I haven't finished them. I have personally never fully finished a container of foundation simply because I was always unhappy with the finish and eager to find the next best thing.
...Till I found this!
Sephora's descriptions states; A 24-hour wear (insert check mark) oil-free foundation that achieves medium to full coverage and leaves a velvety, matte finish. This foundation's innovative, long-wear formula gives all skintones flawless, even, and complexion-perfecting coverage. Its fresh, smooth texture blends effortlessly onto skin for shine-free, all day coverage. Formulated with NAI pigments, its specially-coated pigments maintains the pH level of the skin so that color stays put and you never have to retouch, and it’s infused with perlite and silica, which effectively absorb oil.
I originally found out about this, credit to Lupita becoming the brand's spokesperson. Rarely do I follow celebrity endorsements simply because I don't really care for them but somehow this one slipped through the crack and found its way into my wallet ...I'm not complaining at all.
The packaging is this durable translucent glass. I like it for its looks but it is also very durable since I like to carry it in my everyday makeup back. (It hasn't been damaged yet so I guess I can say its durable)
The color after application is true to the content in the bottle. I does not oxidize after application. It is very long wearing however after about 8 hours it begins to wear off very subtlety.
I have combination skin during the colder months but very oily skin in the summer. When it was cooler the matte finish last longer throughout the day without any setting powder or matte finishing spray. In the warmer months I can get a good 6 hours before a touch-up.
This retails for $46.50 at Sephora and t he only reason why I don't mind this is because it has truly been an amazing experience using this product.
